Alaskan Cruise - Day 1

Monday
I think I'm probably one of the only people that can have a travel story before the traveling even begins. At 4:30 a.m. T woke up because he was hungry. So, I got up to feed him and if you can imagine at 4:30 a.m., I was still a little tired and completely forgot the luggage was at the foot of the bed. As I was holding Tand walking around the bed to turn the light on, I fell INTO the luggage with T in my arms. Luckily, T was fine and I only suffered a few minor injuries. Not a great way to start the vacation. After I got over the pain, I fed Tand we got ready to leave. All 3 kids were able to stay home because my mom and grandmother stayed at our house while we were gone.

We met the other 36 travelers at the church at 6:30 a.m. and we headed to the Houston airport. our lunch on the plane ~ chicken burrito, salad, and dessertWe arrived in Seattle, WA and went straight to the Crab Pot for dinner. It was good!

My Superheroes

K and L wearing their capes.

Ms. Independent

L is so independent that she has started dressing herself. She even takes herself to the restroom sometimes. Usually the only way I know she's gone to the bathroom is because she takes her panties and shorts off and runs around the house in just her shirt. It doesn't usually take her too long to put clothes on. Although she usually does pretty good putting her clothes on, here's a picture of her accomplishment the other day. Sometimes, I'll find her underwear on backwards or inside it. On this occasion, when I finally took her to the restroom later, not only did she have a pair around her waist, but she had a pair on correctly under her shorts. :-)

T Sleeping

I know the Dr.s say that newborns are supposed to sleep on their backs, but T likes to sleep on his belly, so he does. Here are a couple of pics of him taking a nap. Notice his feet.

7 Weeks

You looking at me??? What???

Circus

A little late, but picutures from the circus. Kale got a little bored toward the end ~ it was past his bedtime and all he wanted was cotton candy and a sword. He got the sword since it was his birthday. LeighLu on the other hand apparently had a blast. She sat with Ms. Pat and Alex on the other side of the arena so I didn't get to see her reactions, but they said she LOVED it, especially the elephants.

I thought being a mom to 3 kids was a tough balancing act....

T's first circus ~ Doesn't he look excited??? :-)

Birthday Boy!

Prayer Shawl

Some ladies from church made T a prayer shawl. It's such a blessing to know that every time he uses it, someone was praying over it while it was being made. Here are a few pictures.

Family Fishing

M bought a fishing pole and tackle the other day and we all went fishing as a family today. The weather was nice and the fish were biting. We didn't stay very long, but in the time that we did stay, K, L, and M each caught a fish. L wasn't actually fishing, she was just holding the fishing pole for her daddy when a fish ate his worm. We even saw a snake.

Oops!

I overheard hysterical laughing coming from L's bedroom so I got the camera and was going to video it. They were having such a good time I HAD to get it on video. They were climbing under the comforter and crawling onto the floor. I didn't expect this to happen and when it did, it scared me a little, but she was fine. When I showed the video to M, L and K watched it with us and L cried every time she watched it. She got pretty upset watching herself. LOL

Smile!

Here's a video of T smiling, but wait until the end and you'll see why... LOL

L and T

She loves her little brother, "T". She loves to give him kisses, even if she has ketchup on her mouth or he's sleeping. She loves to caress his little head, or poke his eye. She loves to try to calm his crying by giving him his pacifier when he's crying, even though she has to force him to take it. She loves to try to pick him up if the pacifier doesn't work and I'm not watching closely. She ALWAYS kisses him goodnight.

6 Weeks

T turned 6 weeks old today. We're still trying to figure out his schedule and likes and dislikes. As of now, he likes to sleep on his tummy as well as his right side. He's usually in bed around 8 p.m. and wakes up about 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. and then is up for the morning at 6:30 and takes a nap (in his crib) about 8 a.m. He doesn't like to eat if he has a dirty diaper and will be "starving" after he make a dirty diaper. Depending on his mood, he either likes to be swaddled and held tight or turned facing out so he can see what's going on when being carried. He's even adjusted (as much as he can) to his sister poking, kissing, and prodding him.
