The first day of school has come and gone. We were almost done by noon. The girls got out of bed at 8 a.m., only to crawl onto the couch and sleep until 8:55 a.m. Oh, to be a teen again. Too bad I can't crawl into bed or sneak an extra hour in just because I'm tired.
As scheduled, school started at 9 a.m. with our Bible study, then we read a little history. We learned a little geography, about the Euphrates & Tigris river, Iraq, the theory of the "Big Bang, creationism, fossils, and dinosaurs.
We did a little Home Economics and learned a little about the food groups and got the real definitions of vegetables and fruits. It's very clear that corn and tomatoes are fruits.
We were supposed to do online Spanish classes, but I unknowingly messed up the speakers a couple of days ago and we weren't able to do any foreign language. So, we did literature instead.
So, we did religion, history, home economics & literature all before noon. Oh, and C is outside right now learning a little science (popping fireworks) and woodworking helping M build their beds.
Their math books came in today and we've already started going through them and getting ahead for tomorrow. Now that I know what's wrong with the computer speakers, I should be able to fix them tonight so they can do Spanish tomorrow. As soon as their Science books arrive, we will be able to start Biology and Science.
Tomorrow's agenda includes Religion, History, Math, Spanish (providing speakers get connected) and Literature.
